Language Classes

Don’t speak a word of Japanese? Need to brush up your Nihongo?

We offer Beginner and Intermediate Japanese language classes on a rotating basis with classes taking place in the evening from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Class size is limited. Class fees cover books and all instructional materials.

Beginners’ Class (Mondays)

*Beginner students can join class at any point during the session*

Conversational Japanese for Kids 

  • Session: Winter 2018 10 Classes
  • Time: Saturdays 9:00 am to 10:30 am

  • Fee: $270.00 (JASC member) | $330.00 (Non-JASC member)
This program provides continuing Japanese language and cultural education for children.  Through the program children will practice conversations in Japanese, increase vocabulary and phrases in Japanese, and learn Hiragana letters.
All the classes are taught in Japanese, and participants are encouraged to use Japanese during the class.The program is designed for children:

  • Between Kindergarten and 2nd grade;
  • Who are able to understand instructions in Japanese and participate in class activities accordingly, and;
  • Who are able to recognize and read Hirigana letters of own name
